Referring to the famous series of woodcuts "Tokaido Goju-san Tsugi no Uchi" by master Hiroshige, a certain Kunisada Utagawa (1786-1865) made his series of works called Bijin Tokaido.
The woodcuts all date from the 19th century. They have been duplicated to strengthen the supporting functions of the rice paper. Overall they are in very good condition. All stations of the Tōkaidō road present in the background, have been described and identified. All works are framed in elegant passpartout frames.
The format of the woodcuts is about 16.8cmx cm, the overall size is 24cm x 32.7 cm.
