A collection of 22 ceramic sake bowls from the Meiji and Showa periods. The entire collection is housed in a wooden box, originally used as a bento, covered with brown lacquer and decorated with a paulownia leaf motif. The top of the box is covered with maroon, oxidized, tarnished lacquer, with remnants of decoration done with a gilding technique, with a paulownia leaf motif. The interior of the box is covered with orange lacquer. Signed Fujinaga. The box dates from the Meiji period.
