Stanislaw Westwalewicz (1906-1997). Artist educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under the direction of Władysław Jarocki, Ignacy Pieńkowski, Karol Frycz and Fryderyk Pautsch. A member of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow, debuting with an individual exhibition at the Palace of Art in Cracow - as early as 1937. His wartime fate led him through Soviet prisoner-of-war camps and the trail of Władysław Anders' army to Italy, from where he returned to Poland in 1947 and settled permanently in Tarnów. Associated with the local artistic community, he holds a number of positions in ZPAP, actively practicing easel painting, watercolor and mural painting in numerous churches in Podkarpacie.
