Work by a well-known and respected artist, popularizer of knowledge about old architecture and landscapes of Poland. Wiktor Zin (1925 - 2007) was a professor at the Cracow University of Technology, an architect, served as the General Conservator of Monuments and president of the Society of Lovers of the History and Monuments of Cracow. He was highly distinguished for their protection and conservation. His television program 'With a Pen and Charcoal' for years brought knowledge about monuments in an accessible and attractive way. It was illustrated with ad hoc paintings and sketches.
The presented work from 1971 is unique in that it comes from the artist's personal collection. This is confirmed by the artist's handwritten certificate from 2003, which we show in the photo, and the stamp he used to mark his works. A unique object for lovers of his talent. Its uniqueness is emphasized by the artist himself, writing: "Today this landscape has been lost. The drawing is a document."
