Biography
He is among the most prominent representatives of concrete poetry. A graduate of Polish philology at the University of Wroclaw, where he studied in 1959-64. In 1964 he made his debut as a poet with traditional poems in "Ark. Informator Klubu Młodzieży Artystycznej ZSP", and in 1967 he began writing his first concrete texts. His works have been presented in exhibitions at home and abroad since 1968. In 1979 he compiled and published the book Concrete Poetry. A selection of Polish texts and documentation from 1967-77.
