Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Jan Cybis. He was the founder of Warsaw's "Group 55" and co-founder and manager of the "Krzywe Koło Gallery". He was one of the most prominent animators of cultural life in the Polish avant-garde movement. He created abstract sculptural and spatial compositions. He was involved in painting, sculpture, stage design and graphic design. In his works, color has a symbolic meaning. Some of his paintings were inspired by musical pieces.
