Lech Twardowski, Untitled, acrylic on canvas, 30 x 30 cm, 2012
Lech Twardowski. Born in 1952 in Brodnica. Studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He works in painting, installation and performance.
The artist explores the possibilities of new media without abandoning the field of fine arts, especially painting. He creates structures that open up to the possibilities of media, such as development in time, interactivity, audiovisuality, in such a way that they become part of the work, while retaining the original painterly character.
One of the few Polish artists whose works are already in museums around the world during his lifetime, including the collections of the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris, the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Wroclaw, the collection of the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts and private collections in Poland and abroad.
