Henryk Wójcik (born February 19, 1920 in Sosnowiec, died 2009 in Cracow) - Polish painter, illustrator, sculptor, educator. By critics counted among the "colorists". However, Wójcik's paintings are difficult to categorize directly. He painted both abstract and symbolic paintings usually signed "composition," as well as numerous post-impressionist landscapes painted outdoors, portraits and still lifes. He commented on the variety of subject matter and approaches to painting in his work with the words: "an artist should not be afraid to speak frankly about what is happening to him and confidently trust his own feelings."
