In 2021 in the autumn, Anna Katarzyna Borowczak received an honorable mention in the Silver Thread competition at the Polish Fashion Gala in Poznan for her art hour kimonos show.
- Kimonos inspired by the paintings of Wilkoń are in one universal size, aimed at both ladies and gentlemen. The collection is a kind of dialogue between the artist and Wilkoń's work. In her first project, she joins the trend, exploring the possibility of multiple quotations, which is undoubtedly the transfer of Wilkonia's paintings, characterized by a dynamically treated color spot and graphic discipline, reminiscent of Japanese engravings, onto a Japanese kimono. We combine image, word and applied art, which will contribute to the dissemination of culture, art and knowledge of Polish design. The project includes art woven into fashion, making the starting garment a work of art.
