FRUCT.": container for fennel seeds, used for their digestive effects. "PULV. FERRI. ALC.": a container for iron powder, used in medicine as a tonic. "LAP. PUMIC. PULV.": pumice powder container, historically used for various dermatological purposes. "STOVAIN": a container for Stovain, which was the first synthetic local anesthetic.
