Biography
He studied art in Warsaw between 1909 and 1914 at the Wojciech Gerson Drawing School under Milosz Kotarbiński and at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow under Ignacy Pienkowski. In 1914 he was also a student of Jacek Malczewski. He traveled to France, Holland and Italy, as well as the Balkans. He took an active part in the artistic life of interwar Warsaw. He exhibited a lot and also undertook numerous social and organizational functions in the community of visual artists. He belonged to the groups Formists, Rhythm and Ryt. He was also involved in woodcuts, painting on ceramics and fabrics, interior decoration and designs in the field of applied arts.
