Signed l. d.: "Peské"
"(...) Peské introduces us to another world - nature soothing and lush. Little known in our country, this artist, with his talent and work, has won a very prominent position without the noise and tamam of publicity. The scale of his work is extremely extensive: compositions, landscape, portraits, still lifes, etchings and decorative designs using a wide variety of painting techniques, which he has mastered. He continues the tradition of great painting (the Barbizon school) of the first half of the 19th century, which he enriched with the achievements of Impressionist color. The fortunate combination of great drawing with a lush but notched palette [and] a plastic and strong grasp of the subject matter, into which he is deeply immersed, constitute the essential and unsurpassable originality of our compatriot."
E. Woroniecki, "Polish Artists in the Parisian [Autumn] Salon," "Tygodnik Ilustrowany "1924, half-page I, p. 100.
