FILIPKIEWICZ, Mieczyslaw (1891-1951) - Tatra landscape. Oil on cardboard 36x50 cm, signed p. d. : Mieczyslaw Filipkiewicz.
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (among others in the studios of Jozef Pankiewicz, Teodor Axentowicz and Wojciech Weiss) and in Vienna, from 1925 exhibited his works in the Society of Friends of Fine Arts, landscapes were his favorite subjects, an important artistic inspiration for him was the painting of Jan Stanislawski. Opr. 48x63 cm, under glass.
