Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under the direction of S. Dębicki, J. Pankiewicz, W. Weiss and K. Laszczka. He was a co-founder of the Polish Expressionists group, from 1919. Formists. In 1921 - 22 he supplemented his art studies in Paris. In 1925, together with F. S. Kowarski, W. Zawadowski and J. Rubczak, he founded the Guild of Visual Artists "Jednoróg" - a color-oriented group. In the interwar period, he spent several years in France, where he painted mainly landscapes. After the war, he worked as a stage designer in theaters in Katowice and Sosnowiec. The artist's later work was dominated by landscapes of mild colors.
