Verite is a Sonoma-based estate that almost collects 100-point scores from major American critics.
A fan of the Bordeaux blends coming from here was (and probably still is) Robert Parker, who has more than once shared his opinions of the project with the world. The most important wines coming from Verite, i.e., based on Bordeaux grapes (albeit in different proportions) La Joie, La Muse and Le Desir are still little known in Poland, but those who follow the world news and have had time to get acquainted with them have had the opportunity to experience wine raptures that reward them for their attentiveness and active research.
The vineyards were founded by Pierre Seillan under the influence of the late Jess Jackson. He now runs it with his daughter Helene; together they work with fruit from such famous places as Alexander Valley and Chalk Hill (among many others), and they also work together during winemaking. The fruit, for balance, is fermented according to parcel and variety. Nothing is left to chance, as you can easily see by tasting these wines.
