Quinta do Vale Meao, Meandro 0.75L 14% vintage 2019; Quinta do Crasto Roquette & Cazes 0.75L 14.5% vintage 2018; Pombal do Vesuvio 0.75L 14.5% vintage 2019; Quinta do Vale Meao is a Port estate based in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa in the upper Douro Valley. It produces a range of table and fortified wines that have won numerous awards. Quinta do Crasto is a highly regarded estate in the Douro region founded in 1615, although it is sometimes seen as something new. This is due to a change in Portuguese wine law that allowed individual quintas to bottle and export wine. Since 1994, Quinta do Crasto has been producing Port and table wines under its own label. The portfolio includes LBV and Vintage Port and a range of table wines under the Quinta do Crasto and Crasto brands. Quinta do Vesuvio is located far upstream in Douro Superior, 120 kilometers from Portugal's Atlantic coast and only 30 kilometers from the Spanish border. Since taking over Quinta do Vesuvio in 1989, the owners have sought to reclaim the quinta's legendary reputation. They have preserved the centuries-old method of harvesting grapes in granite lagares, which were built in 1827. Today, Vesuvio is one of the last estates in the Douro Valley to maintain this tradition. Estimated price: £550-600
