Pintia is one of the most important wines of the Toro region and one of the exciting projects led by the Alvarez family, owners of Vega Sicilia. Pintia is known for the way it combines power and expressiveness with restrained elegance. The wine captures the interesting character of the habitats in Toro and shows the local face of the tempranillo varietal. Always a rich bouquet, solid structure, great drinkability and great satisfaction.
Pintia from the 2016 vintage is the product of mild weather and a quiet aging period. The wine is subtle, delicate, unobtrusive. The bouquet is based on notes of blackberry, tobacco and mineral accents. The tannin in the wine is pronounced but delicate, promising extended maturation. This is an elegant rendition of Pintia, full of refined depth that harks back to the best wines from Vega Sicilia.
