Lying in the municipality of Barbaresco, Marchesi di Gresy enjoys a winemaking history dating back to the 18th century. In fact, from the beginning they have been known for their commitment to tradition and high quality wines. The Martinenga vineyard, one of the most important in Barbaresco, is where the producer's most recognized wines come from.
In its approach to winemaking, Marchesi di Gresy combines traditional techniques with modern ones. The result is wines renowned for their elegant structure and high class, but not lacking in allure and appeal. They age beautifully, but can be ready to open relatively quickly as well. Most notable is Barbaresco, which is famous for its bouquet full of floral aromas, delicate spices and smoke, and an always beautiful frame of tannins.
