Biography
Cru classe second classé from 1855. Delicate, presenting a classic Bordeaux style. Subtle and graceful, its bouquet shows cassis, dried flowers, sage, earthy, leathery notes and the scent of a cigar box. The body is quite lean, full of grace and energy. A good balance of tannins and acidity augurs another few years of satisfying maturation. Modest and elegant like the recently deceased Anthony Barton, to whom the estate owes its present class.
