Saint-Émilion, 1er grand cru classé
Comments
Figeac is the protagonist of the latest classification in St-Emilion, according to which it has been promoted to the top 1er Gran Cru Classé A.
It is one of the most important estates in St-Emilion, lying on a gravelly terroir unique to the appellation. The soils are the basis of the
wine style, which is based on elegance and purity of aromas. One of the oldest châteaux in the region, today it is owned by the
Manoncourt family and is managed by Frederic Faye.
Figeac 2010 has a completely classic expression based on elegance and unobtrusive intensity. Medium body, solid
structure and juicy aromas of black currant, cherry, raspberry alongside violets, roasted herbs and oriental spices. It doesn't impose
being sure that with its class it will still impress everyone.
