Château Deyrem Valentin Margaux 0.75L 14%, 2016 vintage case - 6 bottles; The most famous communal appellation in Bordeaux, Margaux, synonymous with elegance. The estate, classified as a cru bourgeois, is located near the village of Soussans. That was also the name of one of the first owners, Deyrem Valentin, in Napoleonic times. The chateau is now surrounded by 12 hectares of vineyards. In addition to cabernet, a not insignificant share of the vineyard's petit verdot varietal sometimes dominates the coupage of the estate's other wine, Château Valentin. The current owner, Jean Sorge, whose grandfather bought the estate in 1928, uses 1/3 new barrels to mature the wine. It is perfectly refined and polished, with plenty of expression. Potential for at least ten years of development in bottle. Estimated price: £1050-1150
