Distillery description
Auchroisk is a Scottish distillery located in the Speyside region near the town of Keith, chosen for its access to clean water from a nearby spring, reflected in its Gaelic name meaning "bright spring." Established in 1972 by Justerini & Brooks, it initially supplied malt spirit for blended whiskies but started producing its own single malt in 1986. Auchroisk was among the first to experiment with finishing whisky in different cask types, although the Balvenie distillery is often credited with pioneering this method. It remains a key component of Diageo's Johnnie Walker blends. Bottle description
