Swartland Riebeek Kasteel, Porseleinberg 0.75L 13.5%, 2019 vintage 2 bottles; Porseleinberg - Named after the Porselein (porcelain) mountains in Swartland. Porseleinberg is located on top of a mountain in Swartland. The wine label was designed to use the absolute minimum amount of printing. Letterpress printing has the smallest carbon footprint of all printing methods, so the farm's owners decided to buy their own 1940 Heidelberg printer! And the winemaker took on the position of printer himself. It took a year to restore and set up the letterpress machine, and another year to mature the wine. The name Porseleinberg means Porcelain Mountain, and the delicate white label takes its inspiration from porcelain, while the motifs on the neck and the blue color on the back come from Delft tiles, which were a popular item in historic Cape Dutch homes. Estimated price: £850-950
