The goal was to produce wines that would perfectly complement the food served in the restaurant. In order to meet this daunting task, they set their sights on perfection and conscientious hard work in the vineyard, just as in the kitchen. Virtues that were the order of the day back in ancient times, as the steep slopes and small terraces of the Franz Keller vineyard date back to Roman times. The Keller family has always attached great importance to the French way of life. And this can be tasted and experienced in Franz Keller wines. Therefore, between fresh and fruity aromas, you can find wines that are sometimes complex and full-bodied. The Franz Keller winery is uniquely connected to nature. The place where the grapes are processed, as well as the cellar, wine library and restaurant "KellerWirtschaft" blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape. This can be taken literally, as the winery has been partially built into the ground. All roof surfaces are planted with seeds from the nearby Badberg. Among other things, this creates optimal climatic conditions for the development and subsequent storage of the wines. Modern technology only supports the conditions created by nature. Gentle cultivation, organic fertilization and respect for nature are just as important as reducing yields through grape splitting, thinning and green harvesting. The harvesting of the ripe fruit here is also done in several stages and is traditional hand labor. This ensures the health, very good ripeness and fullness of flavor of the grapes. Depending on the type of wine, during maturation in barrique or other wooden barrels, as well as in modern steel tanks, the wine can fully develop. Estimated price: £550-650
