Château Palmer Margaux, P. Sichel, 0.75L 12%, 1991 vintage; Château Palmer is a wine estate located in the Margaux appellation in the Médoc region. The wine produced here was classified as one of the fourteen Troisiemes Crus (Third Growths) in the historic 1855 official classification of Bordeaux wines, and has been consistently rated as one of the best wines in the region for many decades. Unusually for the Médoc, Château Palmer typically has as much Merlot as Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend (along with a small amount of Petit Verdot), which gives the wine a fleshy structure. It can be drunk young, but will also be rewarded with long cellar aging. Estimated price: £930-970
