Traces of folding, transverse tear underlined with yellowed tissue paper on both sides, three small edge tears underlined with tape.
N. Rothschild (Nathan Mayer, Freiherr von Rotschild) (1777-1836) - Jewish German banker, financier. He began his career as a textile merchant in Manchester, later became actively involved in stock market operations, trading foreign bills of exchange and government securities. He also arranged, on behalf of state authorities, many government loans (including Prussian, Russian, English and Spanish). At one time he was one of the richest men in the world.
