NORMAN LETO is a versatile artist - he works in painting, creating digital
simulations, video art and literature. The paintings he creates are often portraits of loved ones,
situations that engage him emotionally, existential and intellectual challenges. He paints quickly, based on
based on photographs, nature or video frames. Norman Leto's paintings are reminiscent of the works of
William Bouguereau or Thomas Gainsborough. His works are often based on algorithms
artificial intelligence, the projects often balance on the border between art and science - such as in the case of the
Lumps of life created. He debuted with an exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw
"Negative Aspects of Excessive Freedom at the Age of 26" in 2007. He is the author of "Sailor"
(2010) (also published as a novel, described by the British weekly 'Tribune' as.
"the best and most surprising independent debut) and "Photon" (2017), for which he received the
Golden Claw Award, at the Golden Lions Festival, Audience Award, Grand Prix of the Festival of
New Horizons, and the Grand Prix of the Koszalin "Youth and Film" Film Debut Festival. He is
Winner of the Passports of Polityka in the visual arts category (2018). He has presented his works at
numerous exhibitions at the most prestigious institutions in Poland and abroad, including Jeune
création européene, Paris 2007; Perfect Summer, New Media Artists, Gallery Vertexlist, New York.
