Katarzyna Slowikowska
began her history with painting when she met Professor Ludwik Maciag, she was 13 at the time. It was the professor who infected her with art and from him she took her first professional lessons in drawing and painting. In 1994 she graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Suprasl, then from the State College of Visual Advertising in Ciechanow - a diploma in painting with distinction. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Romanticism in Opinogóra, the Ethnographic and Historical Museum in Kamieńczyk, the Museum of Knighthood in Liwa, the "Matecznik Mazowsze" in Otrębusy, and the museum in Takaoka, Japan She participates in national and international plein-air painting events every year. The artist's work is presented in collective and individual exhibitions at home and abroad. Paintings are in private collections in Poland and in England, Switzerland, Sweden and Fuerteventura. She cultivates easel painting: landscape, figure, nude, still life.
