Karolina Braclawiec, born in 1989, creates and lives in Gdansk, graduated from Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (diploma in the studio of Prof. Jerzy Ostrogórski in 2014) and Marmara Üniversitesi in Istanbul (Erasmus scholarship) and Art Therapy at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin.
Achievements:
Finalist of the 24th National Youth Painting Review Promotions, finalist of the Fresh Blood Young Art Review and winner of an honorable mention in the Franciszka Eibisch Foundation Grand Prix competition. A painting from her graduation series Nude. Scene Two was included in the catalog of the Premio Combat Prize exhibition in Livorno, Italy. She has participated in international workshops: 6 th Inernational Student Triennial, SALT Galata in Istanbul, Turkey, and European Forum of History and Arts Cross-Border Network, Kreatiffabrik in Differdange, Luxembourg, and XII International Festival ZDARZENIA, Gdansk/Tczew. Co-author (with the RedSheels group) of the Gdansk murals in the Women of Freedom series and in Gdansk Zaspa (Monumental Art festival). Participant in the International Cultural Exchange Program, Camp America in the USA. Winner of scholarships, including the Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdansk, the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdansk Young Gdansker. She has presented her works at many group and individual exhibitions in the Tri-City, Krakow, Koszalin, Szczecin, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Torun, Katowice, Istanbul and Luxembourg, among others.
