In art there are no eternal truths and binding views, in art there are only sacred obsessions and the uncompromising necessity to express them.
The distinguishing feature of Anna Pazdalskaya's work is her ability to distance herself both from the insistence of trends and fashions in art, and from the pressure of patterns and schemes coming from the widely understood tradition. It was constructive distance, not contestation, that resulted in Anna's fundamental understanding of the essence of sculpture and the specificity of the language of means of expression. He contributed to the crystallization of her own very apt and convincing definition of its adequate, modern sense. Understanding the situation in which art found itself at the time of the postmodern crossroads, devoid of organizing elements, stable points of reference and criteria, Anna Pazdalska focused on the value of individual talent, intuition, freedom and the right to self-determination.
