[ AdvertisingBags for Sugar]. Pasted collection of 1,499 miniature sugar packets used in food service, with advertising prints. Probably 1950s-70s.
Notebook with spiral bound spine, form. 34x24 cm, pages 40. Tightly glued on all pages are 1,070 small sugar bags and, further down, 429 packages of individual sugar cubes. Both the bags and the packages are dominated by letter compositions, sometimes carefully designed. On the bags you can also find views of monuments, restaurant buildings, even industrial plants, military equipment, flying plates. Some form series presenting modern trains, ships. A few feature airline logos. The bags and packages come largely from the Netherlands, with single French, Italian, Swiss objects also present. All are advertisements for hotels, restaurants, airlines or companies and their products. Heavy rubbing of front cover, damaged spine spiral, trace of 3 missing bags. A unique collection.
