The book contains rich documentation of meteorological dispatches sent during the Wielkopolska Uprising and in the period until the end of 1920 from the area of Wielkopolska. The author, discussing correspondence from 58 precipitating posts (out of a working population of just over 150), showed that it is not only a valuable source of meteorological data allowing to reconstruct the general course of weather during the period of the uprising fights (which is presented in the chapter "An attempt to reconstruct the course of weather" and illustrated on numerous maps), but also that it is an interesting historical source confirming the functioning in 1919-1920 of the censorship of correspondence, the suspension of mail exchanges, etc.
In addition, the book documents the hitherto unknown fact that the Polish Post honored German official stamps, the so-called Dienstmarke, on parcels from Wielkopolska.
