Translation of the biography of King Stanislaw Leszczynski written by George Daniel Seyler (1686-1745) - historian, rector of the Elblag Academic Gymnasium. Seyler's work was published anonymously in German in 1737. The translation was done by Jean-Guillaume de CHEVRIÈRES. Estreicher writes that the reprinting in such a short time testifies to the book's immeasurable readership. In front of the text a copperplate portrait of Stanislaw Leszczynski signed: Venloo pinxit; Andreas Reinhardt Filius sculpsit.
