Renata Bonczar, lives and works in Katowice, Poland. She studied in the studios of Prof. Adam Hoffman and Prof. Jerzy Duda Gracz, with whom she defended her diploma in painting in 1980. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice. She received her doctorate in art from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 2004. Academic lecturer. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art. She received the Silesian and Kielce Governor's Award and the Artistic Award for Creativity - Katowice 1988. In 2016, she received the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture ,,Gloria Artis ". Renata Bonczar paints abstract paintings inspired by landscape. In 2021, the artist at the 13th Florence Biennale received the Biennale President's Medal for her work.
