Biography
Studied with Jan Matejko at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1877-83 and with Otto Seitz at the Academy in Munich in 1883-85. He traveled to Italy, Palestine. He was president of the TPSP in Cracow for many years. The subjects of his works were genre scenes, religious scenes and portraits of young girls. His some paintings are sometimes characterized by touches of realism. He was also involved in illustrations for "Trilogy" and "Quo vadis" by Sienkiewicz, among others. He used oil and pastel techniques.
