Emil KRCHA

Studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under T. Axentowicz, S. Kamocki, I. Pienkowski. He lived and worked in Paris for several years, and here in 1931 had his first solo exhibition at the Zborowski Gallery. He was a member of the Association of Artists Zwornik, which brings together artists of color. He painted landscapes, genre scenes, portraits, still lifes, reached for watercolor and drawing. His works were often inspired by native folklore, which had a response and in form - in the form of simplification of drawing. After the war, he was involved in teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, and continued his work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
