Provenance:
private collection, Poland
On the domestic auction market, Jaxa-Malachowski's paintings with winter themes are a rarity. The offered interwar composition deserves the attention of collectors with its decorative motif. The year 1927, when it was painted, went down in the artist's resume with a lot of exhibition activity. The painter participated in Independent Exhibitions in Cracow and in the Union of Polish Artists there. A series of postcards with reproductions of the artist's works was also prepared by the Publishing House of the Salon of Polish Painters.
