Vessels on low, pear-shaped feet, smooth, vertically ribbed and domed; confectioner's sugar bowl c-shaped handles with shell motif, in other vessels wooden handles set in sleeves; milk jug and teapot have triangular spouts, teapot has form of spout, domed lids topped with knobs. Wooden case, covered with green bookbinding paper with gilded embossing, lined inside with green velour and ecru silk with printed name of the company BOIN-TABURET / 3 Rue Pasquier / PARIS
Founded in 1880 in Paris by Edmond Tétard, the company had a good reputation among the French aristocracy. In 1889, it won a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris. In 1903, the label was taken over by sons Henri, Jacques and Georges. Along with Puiforct and Christofel, Tétard Freres began introducing modern design as early as the 1920s. In 1930, they hired leading art déco designer Valery Bizouard.
