Błażej Iwanowski (Jabłonna 1889 - 1966 Warsaw) - took his first lessons in drawing and painting from Feliks Roliński, Wladimir Dymitrov and Bronislaw Kowalewski, in 1907 he began a three-year course at the Drawing School, where his lecturers included Jan Kauzik and Miłosz Kotarbiński. From 1910 to 1912 he was a student at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Stanislaw Lentz. Błażej Iwanowski was a member of the "Zachęta" Group, the artists' union "Zespół", the "Independents" union and the Warsaw Art Society, from 1921 he participated in group exhibitions organized by the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, in 1927 he received an Honorable Mention. He also exhibited with the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow, as well as in Poznan, and after 1945 also in Sopot. He created still lifes, as well as paintings depicting the interiors of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Wawel Castle and Malbork Castle, among others. Less frequently, he created portraits and genre scenes.
