Painter and poet. In 1976-79 he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in the studio of Professor Zbigniew Karpinski. Later he moved to the Painting Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts to the studio of Prof. Rajmund Ziemski (graduated in 1981), where he met Waldemar Pawlak and other members of "Gruppa", which they founded together in 1982. He co-founded the magazine "Oj dobrze już". At first he painted compositions made on cardboard with tempera and gouache. Together with Ryszard Wozniak, they went on a scholarship to Berlin, where Grzyb continued to paint sharply colored flat works. In the late 1980s, the artist changed his style, taking up more oil painting. He collaborated with the "Zderzak" Gallery in Cracow. His works have been repeatedly exhibited at national and international exhibitions. His paintings are in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Cracow, Poznan, Zachęta Gallery, In District Museums in Katowice, Bytom, Torun, Bydgoszcz, Olsztyn, in private collections in Poland and abroad. In 2004, he started a multimedia project called Overhead Sentences, in which he collects short poetic sentences and places them on billboards, placards, mugs and neon signs, among other things. He also works in advertising graphics. Winner of the Jan Cybis Award for 2010.
