Warsaw two-coin gold coins are some of the rarest, Polish coins of the partition period.
Numismats minted in very low mintages, found at auctions only occasionally. We are offering it to you for the first time in our history.
This vintage at auctions in Poland, over the years, occurred only 2 times (!) and that in 2005 and 2013 (the last of which was the 4th auction of ANPN, sold for 80,500 PLN).
Their rarity was beautifully defined by the author of a specialized catalog on two-coin coins, Mr. Adam Kurianski: "During the seven years of the issue [of 20 Warsaw zlotys] only 1446 pieces were produced and introduced. The Warsaw mintage accounted for only just over 0.7% of the St. Petersburg mint's mintage."
The mintage of this vintage was only 307 pieces!
One of the ornaments of our auction.
Gold, diameter 19 mm, weight 3.92 (catalog).
