Monumental work containing a total of 600 plates with likenesses of illustrations, printers' signets, ornaments, fonts of old Polish printing houses, essential for proper identification of old Polish prints of the XVI century. Each portfolio is accompanied by a text with a discussion of the history and production of individual printing houses and a detailed description of old prints. It was published in an edition of 520-1000 copies. Compiled under the editorship of A. Kawecka-Gryczowa.
