"This only known example of Norwid's mastery of the intaglio technique remained isolated. The engraver did not return to it in his later works, remaining faithful to his favorite etching and lithography" (H. Widacka "Grafika Cypriana Norwida" in: "Studia Norwidiana", No. 3-4, 1985-1986). Two jointly published poetic works by Teofil Lenartowicz.
"Illustrations to 'Enchantment' and 'Blessed', embroidered by expert and skilful engravers, have saved their drawing qualities and, in the absence of the artist's surviving original works, remain today a solitary testimony to the authentic capabilities of the draughtsman" (J. Widacka "Overlooked Link. Rzecz o Antonim Zaleskim" in "Biuletyn Hist. Sztuki", no. 4/1981, p. 362).
