Slight rubbing of edges of covers, slight scratches to covers, nevertheless very good condition. Cases rubbed and slightly creased. Ex-libris of W. Jarosz. On both dark red spines gilded floral motifs, crowned eagle and painter's palette. On the front covers gilt palette and paint brushes, on the back covers the same blind-stamped motif. Vol. 1: Medieval Painting in Poland, Vol. 2: Painting in Poland from the 16th to 18th centuries, Vol. 3: Painting in Poland of the 19th and 20th centuries. A monumental work by an outstanding art historian, still one of the best studies of the subject in our literature. Very rich illustrative material - a total of 1,259 reproductions in the text and on plates.
