Description of a journey from Gdansk atthe beginning of the 19th century through Klaipeda, Kronstadt, St. Petersburg, Novgorod, Tver, Moscow, Borodino, Smolensk, Grodno, Minsk, Augustow, Ostroleka, Warsaw, Lowicz, Poznan, Frankfurt to Berlin. On the plates color views of Copenhagen, Hamburg, Stralsund, Oliva, Frombork, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Borodino, Smolensk, among others. In the text, one woodcut showing a mammoth skeleton kept in a museum in St. Petersburg.
