Description:
"The main goal of anyone coming to Paris will naturally be to visit the exhibition, but nevertheless also to get to know this capital of the world and its surroundings.
Our task is to facilitate the accomplishment of this double aim; for this reason, having changed the system of guides published in French, English and German, which, due to their extraordinary length, are more like hystorical treatises, etc., than concise and accurate descriptions of everything worth seeing and of interest - we have decided to base our stay on an average stay of fifteen days and to divide them in such a way that each day will be used usefully and without great toil.
Before we begin our travels we will give a brief outline of the geographical location, climate and historical origins of the French capital." (from the Introduction)
Piece from the book collection of Leon Drogoslav Truszkowski, landowner and collector (includes his stamp with a baronial crown).
