GLINICA, ZUKOWICE DOLNE near GŁOGOW. So-called letter of release from the owner of the estate Ernest von Niebelschütz dated 22.XII.1797 for Rosina Schmiden allowing her to marry and change her place of residence. The document proves how lively practices derived from the feudal Ius primae noctis were still in the Prussian state at the end of the 18th century. Probably by then the operation of this law had already been severely curtailed, leaving only the right of the feudal lord to decide whom a subject could marry and where to live after marriage. In addition, the interested party had to pay 6 groszy in silver for this; German, very well-preserved impressions in red lacquer, estate seal with the von Niebelschütz coat of arms; st. bdb.; folio.
