Manor house and horse-drawn carriage, below in a semicircle a panorama of Lviv.
Oil on cardboard, size: 33 x 44 cm. (1930s).
On the back an old note about the artist, probably by the hand of Jan Sas Zubrzycki, whose stamp is also reflected here. Stanislaw Batowski Kaczor was a painter associated with the Lvov artistic community. He was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and supplemented his studies at academies in Vienna and Munich. He traveled in Spain, Morocco and Crimea, stayed in Paris and Italy. From 1903 to 1914 he ran his own painting school in Lviv. He painted portraits, landscapes, battle scenes, took up religious and genre subjects, did mural painting and made illustrations for literary works. Top and side edges with bumps and abrasions, in the lower part against the panorama, traces of rubbed text.
