Coated and chiseled bronze. 32,5 x 11 x 11 cm with base; 26,5 x 10,5 x 8 cm without
This bronze statuette emulates the famous sculpture by Verrocchio kept in the Bargello National Museum, Florence.
It belongs to the Renaissance-era "Revival" taste, which inspired many artistic productions of XIX century, including architecture, furnishing and art in general.
This high-end statuette, well-casted and chiseled, was probably manufactured in an unspecified Florentine foundry. The item is unfortunately anonymous.
