Janina JAROSZ WALCZAKOWA-BUDZICZ (1950)
Painter and poet born in Zakopane. She works primarily in glass painting, which was taught to her by her ex-husband Zdzislaw Walczak. In her work she uses elements of Podhale folklore, most often depicting images of saints, religious scenes and motifs related to the life and culture of the highlanders. The artist's style is characterized by strongly saturated colors in her paintings and an expressive line. Her works have been presented at many exhibitions at home and abroad. The artist's work has been honored with, among other awards, the Oskar Kolberg Prize.
